Growth Is Painful When Done Right

When we are faced with the option to mature spiritually, develop soulishly and/or grow naturally there is always pain involved. Not many people enjoy the pain of growth or the hurtfulness of hearing our own true conditions from the point of view of others, but they are so needed.

Tiffany and I determined some time ago that we would rise to the challenge of growth, no matter the pain or discomfort that comes with it. In times of growth we are to refocus our souls and realign our spirits to hear more correctly and listen more closely to what it is the Spirit of the Lord wants to say to us.

As God allows the growing to come, it will challenge our current stance and beliefs, but it will also reaffirm what we hold most dear and reveal where we lack. This lack is not the most important aspect of growth, because none of us is totally lack free. We all lack in some areas, but we do not want that lack to continually be the issue which hinders our growth.

Our growth in God depends mostly on our ability to continually run to Him for guidance and in complete humility. When we grow the days are sometimes still long and the conflicts can still be many. When we run to God we will not have less problems in life, rather we will handle them in different ways.

It is time for all of us to change, don't you think? We could all cut some ties from our past and change something about our present to better our future. Where is it that you would like to grow? It is time to come face to face with that area and run after God with unrelenting determination. Run to Him with the basis firmly establishes in your love for Him and that you are loved by Him.

We love you greatly,

Andrew & Tiffany Bucksot
